15mm DBR COMPETITION RULES

 

  1. The rules to be used are DBR version 1.1 dated August 95, Book 1, 2 &3 army lists, and the current BHGS clarifications.

  2. Two selections from the same army list, and from the same date and Nationality may be chosen. The decision on which list to use is taken immediately your opponent announces his Army List including the date and its Nationality.

  3. Both army lists must be submitted, allocating all elements including baggage to a command. They must specify the number of element equivalents and demoralisation levels for each command and for the whole army.

  4. The total size of each army must not exceed 400 AP.

  5. Game duration is 3½ hours, including deployment, although players may commence games earlier by mutual consent. The table size is 6' x 4'.

  6. Players must fully define their troops as they are placed on table.

  7. Each Player must supply his/her own terrain. Note that any terrain deemed to be unsuitable or unsportsmanlike will be removed from play at the discretion of the umpire. This clearly includes unpainted or geometrically crafted terrain. When such pieces are removed by the umpire they may not be replaced.

  8. Players will share a common set of dice to be supplied by the attacker or the organisers. The defender chooses combat dice first.

  9. A modified Swiss Chess system will operate throughout the competition. Players shall not play against any relatives in the first degree of consanguinity. Thus a player would not be allowed to play against his/her spouse, parent, brother, sister, and/or child. Additionally where possible a player will not be drawn against any fellow club or team member in the first two rounds of the competition.

  10. The current BHGS score sheet which divides a total of 32 points between opponents will be used (See separate score sheet).

  11. Admission to the tournament is at the sole discretion of the organisers. The cost is £20, for seniors and £10 for juniors, which includes entry to the competition and a free commemorative polo shirt. Cheques or international money orders made payable to "THE INTERNATIONAL WARGAMES FEDERATION"

The list checker can only respond to queries in connection with Army Lists. All other queries must be addressed to the organisers.

  13. Army Lists must be submitted for checking, not later than 6 weeks before the event. A penalty for late or poorly set out lists may be imposed. All correspondence must enclose a stamped addressed envelope.

  16. No new bound may start 10 minutes before finishing time.

  17. A trophy will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed players together with an IWF Medal and the winner of both the senior and junior championships will hold the IWF Cup for 1 year.

  18. The organisers/umpires decision on all matters is final. By completing an entry form you agree to abide by the organisers rules and the rules of the competition.
